Day Builder · Free web beta
Plan your park day. Ride what matters.
Pick a park and a date. You start on a plan that held up on real days, make it yours, and see how it would have gone on 60 real days of waits, before you spend the day in line.
Free in your browser for Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. No download.
How it works.
Choose your day.
Pick Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios Florida and your date. The day runs on that date's park hours once they're announced.
Make the plan yours.
Start from a ready-made plan (First visit, Thrill seekers or Little kids), then add rides, mark your must-dos, and work in meals and shows.
See how it holds up.
Replay your plan on 60 real days of posted waits and closures, and see how often every must-do fit.
Test your plan on real days first.
A plan can look great on paper and fall apart at 11 a.m. when the headliner goes down. So Day Builder checks yours against what actually happened.
A replay walks your plan through one real day's posted waits and ride closures, minute by minute. Each choice only uses what was posted at that moment. When a ride is down, the plan moves on and comes back to it.
Then it does that for each of those 60 days and tells you how often all your must-dos fit. If the answer is "not often," move your must-dos earlier or leave more time, and test again.
Waits are posted waits, and real waits are often shorter. Express and return windows aren't timed. Replays need a free account, which is in beta on the web right now.
Coming to the Ride Ready app.
A plan made at home has to move on park day, when the waits do. That's the part we're testing now.
Open a saved web trip in Ride Ready 4.1.0 or newer on iPhone with a link or a QR code, and the app adjusts the plan as waits change through the day. 4.1.0 is with TestFlight testers now and is coming to the App Store, with Android to follow.
Trips you save during the beta come with free live planning in the app.
Want live waits in the park today? The app is free on iPhone and Android.
About the beta.
Planning in the browser is open to everyone, and your trip saves on that device. Saving to an account, the 60-day test and the app handoff need a Google sign-in, and sign-in on the web is in beta.
To get on the list, open Day Builder and tap Join the beta. We'll email you when testing opens. We only use that email for the beta invitation and beta updates.
A few things to know.
Is Day Builder free?
Yes. Planning, saving, editing and reopening trips are free while Day Builder is in beta.
Which parks does it cover?
Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, each with ready-made plans and expected ride times. There are also hop days for Islands and Studios together, if you have a park-to-park ticket.
Do I need an account?
Not to plan. Your trip saves in your browser. Saving it to an account, testing it on 60 real days and opening it in the app need a Google sign-in, which is in beta on the web. Open Day Builder and tap Join the beta to get on the list.
Can I open my plan in the Ride Ready app?
Yes, in Ride Ready 4.1.0 or newer on iPhone. Open a saved trip by link or QR code, and the app adjusts the plan as waits change through the day. 4.1.0 is with TestFlight testers now and is coming to the App Store, then Android.
How accurate are the ride times?
Each ride's time is when you'd get in line on a usual day, using 8 weeks of posted waits. A single day can land an hour either side of that, which is why you can replay your plan on 60 real days. Waits are posted waits, and real waits are often shorter.
Can it book Express or dining?
No. Enter only what you've already bought or booked, like Express or a table-service reservation. Day Builder can't check, buy or book anything.
