Iron Gwazi

~75% of Gwazi's original wooden footers are still inside Iron Gwazi

RMC kept approximately 75% of the 1999 Gwazi's wooden footer structure when converting it. Riders move through the skeleton of the original coaster that closed in 2015.

Named after a real African hawk, and a statue stands at the base most guests walk past

The shikra is an African bird of prey that dives nearly vertically on its prey. A statue of it sits at the ride's entrance and almost nobody notices it on the way to the queue.

Kumba was B&M's very first sit-down looping coaster, and it debuted three inversion types at once

When Kumba opened in 1993 it introduced the dive loop, interlocking corkscrews, and cobra roll simultaneously. None of those elements had ever appeared on any coaster before.
